Darwen-based Felicity Coulthard was yesterday nominated to represent Great Britain in the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.
Coulthard, 24, is set to make her Paralympic debut this summer in Hong Kong, having been nominated for her first Games.
The animal behaviourist took bronze on her world championship debut in 2007.
She will be riding her own horse Roffelaar at the games.
Coulthard said: "Selection means a great deal to me and Roffelaar.
"He has worked really hard for me over the past year and I am thrilled to have the privilege of going to my first Paralympics with him."
