Blackburn Boulevard, 1982
This was the view which would have greeted you had you come out of Blackburn Station in 1982.
It shows the Boulevard, then the town’s main bus station, looking towards Railway Road.
The distinctive shelters will have been a familiar sight to anyone using bus transport.
On the right of the picture you can see the recently completed offices for the Lancashire Telegraph. The scaffolding you can see back centre shows work continuing on the new Morrison’s supermarket.
