POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a window was smashed on a Colne church.
St John's Church, in Albert Road, was targeted by vandals who smashed the window on a door overnight earlier this week.
The church has been targeted by vandals in the past, police said.
PC Harvinder Uppal, who visited the church to give crime prevention advice, said the central area of the town was regularly patrolled.
She said: "Places with open space and grassed areas tend to attract young kids kicking football around but if we see youths congregating we move them on.
"I think this case was intentional, though."
Anyone with information should contact the police on 01282 425001.
