A NATIONAL exhibition exploring different faiths and religions will start at Burnley Central Library this week.
The library will host "Sacred on Location" in June - a national touring exhibition by the British Library exploring different faiths and religions.
Burnley Library is the only venue in Lancashire where visitors will be able to see and take part in this interactive exhibition, for two weeks up to June 28.
The exhibition highlights some of the world's most important and beautiful religious texts and looks at the similarities of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Interactive display panels will enable visitors to virtually leaf through some of the British Library's greatest treasures, along with an IMAC where users can learn about rituals and customs from the three faiths.
David Lightfoot, county library manager for Lancashire County Council said: "This will be an opportunity for visitors across the county and the region to experience some of the world's most important and beautiful sacred religious texts from the British Library's collection."
