RECYCLING and environmental issues came under the spotlight as part of the Darwen Goes Green day on Saturday.
A recycling relay race was one of the attractions, where teams competed to put the most rubbish items into the correct bins.
There were also paper-making workshops, a Funky Junk music performance, pizza-making using local produce, cycling information and bike checks at the event, held in Market Square.
