We know that Looking Back readers love photos of Bolton town centre and the shops of yesteryear.
This one from 1955 is a real cracker showing F Steel and Sons drapers situated on the corner of Market Street. Next door is a photographic shop.
There was clearly a major sale on at Steel’s if the signs in the window are anything to go by.
