An award-nominated comedian is set to bring his debut live tour show to East Lancs next month.

Dave’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Newcomer nominee Emmanuel Sonubi will visit Darwen’s Library Theatre on Saturday, April 29 as part of his Emancipated tour.

Sonubi was born and raised in North London and the show looks at many elements of his life, such as being raised as the only boy and the youngest of six children, as well as what has led him to become the person he is today.

It covers his time as a doorman at clubs across London, his career in musical theatre and life as a parent to two young children.

Sonubi is ready to take audiences by storm after a sold out Edinburgh Fringe run last year.

He made his TV debut on Comedy Central UK and has recently appeared on The John Bishop Show (ITV), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV 2) and Live at the Apollo (BBC), as well as being heard on BBC radio shows such as The Now Show, The Likely Dads, and Edinburgh Fringe Award; Nominees.

Sonubi said: “The last few years have seemed to fly by. From open spot, to closing Live at the Apollo… and now I’m about to go on my first solo tour. Get your name on the list!”
