Residents are invited to take part in Darwen Health Week next month.
The week long event, organised by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council and Darwen Primary Care Network, will take place from March 13 to 18 (excluding Tuesday, March 14).
Residents of Darwen can seek help and advice about health related problems and well-being support as well as issues that stem from the cost-of-living crisis.
Activities and services include a yoga demonstration, ‘dance to health’ class, blood pressure checks, in addition to the general health advice on offer.
Darwen Health Week will be located at Darwen Market Hall, and in Darwen Square on Saturday, March 18 and is free to join.
Darwen South Ward Cllr Matt Jackson said: “Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council and Darwen Health Centre will come together with over 25 partners to offer advice, help and support to the residents of Darwen, with regards to everything from keeping healthy to well-being support or indeed the many issues people are dealing with as a result of the cost of living crisis.
“This is an extremely important event, which presents the residents of Darwen the opportunity to discuss issues which normally they may not have time to deal with throughout the working week.”
