A person was cut from a car after a two-vehicle crash in Accrington.

Firefighters were called to reports of a crash on Fairfield Street, Accrington at around 4.45pm yesterday (February 24).

Two fire engines from Hyndburn attended the scene near Fairfield Nursery and had to cut a person from the vehicle.

Crews were at the scene for around 35 minutes.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: “Two fire engines from Hyndburn attended a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on Fairfield Street, Accrington.

“Firefighters extricated one person from a vehicle.

“Crews were in attendance for approximately 35 minutes.”
