A man has been charged and recalled to prison after an increase in car crimes across Oswaldtwistle.
51-year-old Stuart Smith, from Clayton Le Moors, was arrested last week on suspicion of vehicle related offences.
Following further police enquiries, Smith has been charged and remanded for five more offences.
He has since been recalled to prison.
Police have now thanked the public for their support.
A police spokesperson said: “We are pleased to provide an update regarding the recent rise in car crime in the Oswaldtwistle area.
“Last week, Stuart Smith who is 51 from Clayton Le Moors was arrested for vehicle related offences.
“As a result of further enquiries, a further five offences were identified which Smith was charged and remanded for.
“He has since been recalled to prison. As ever thank you for your continued support.”
