Firefighters were called to a wildfire in a moorland in Worsthorne-with-Hurstwood today (February 14).
Fire crews were called to Gorple Road just before 2pm, where they tackled a moorland fire that was around 30x30m in size.
One fire engine was called and firefighters used beaters and an aqua leader to tackle the blaze.
Fire crews were in attendance for around 20 minutes.
A fire and rescue spokesperson said: “At 1.57 on February 14, one fire engine from Burnley attended a wildfire on Gorple Road, Worsthorne-with-Hurstwood.
“The incident involved an area of moorland approximately 30x30m in size. Firefighters used beaters and an aqua leader to extinguish the fire. They were in attendance for 20 minutes.”
