Blackburn’s Claudia Fogarty officially entered the Love Island villa in last night’s show (February 7) and revealed her famous dad had an honest chat with her before she entered.

Claudia, whose father is Blackburn former World Superbike champion Carl Fogarty, said he is proud of her for going onto the show but wants her to “find someone that’s not a d***head”.

In an interview, the 28-year-old said: “He was really for it.

"My dad said he was really proud and to take the opportunity to find someone that’s not a d***head, that’s exactly what he said to me.”

Claudia, who is a fashion boutique owner, said 57-year-old Carl hasn’t seen the show before and might be “shocked” when he finally watches it.

She said: “[He told me] absolutely no sex on TV. He hasn’t really watched it before so it’s going to be a bit of a shock.

“I just said ‘get a blind fold on, shut your eyes, if you don’t like it, turn it off’.”

Carl Fogarty won I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2014, but Claudia said she doesn’t feel any pressure to keep up with the winning streak.

She said: “It was so nice to see how many people loved my dad and for people to see the real him.

“My dad will be proud to watch me, but he will also be nervous. He said he’s excited to see me on TV as opposed to him - he’s passed me the baton.

“My dad just told me to be myself, he said the one thing you can’t do is hide who you are, he said he loves who I am and everyone else will love me.

“My dad wins everything he does but for me it’s not about winning it’s about finding love.

“Dad just wants me to find someone that is driven and settled. If I can find someone that my family loves too, that would be amazing.”

Claudia, who is described as ‘the confident one’ of the family’, plans to bring her northern charm into the villa with her.

She said: “My northern banter is going to be coming in with me.

"I think I’ll spice things up a bit, I’m a confident person, I can be fiery when I want to be, but I’m a girls’ girl so I know I will get on well with all of them all.

“The show has come at the perfect time in my life.

“I’m 28, I’m not getting any younger and I’ve been single for eight months, so I feel ready to settle and find ‘the one’.

"I’m done with the ‘bad boys’, I just want to find my person and now is the right time.”

Posting to his Instagram, Carl shared a snap of himself with Claudia and wished her luck on the show.

Claudia only made a brief appearance at the end of Wednesday’s episode, where she surprised boys in the villa by entering dressed in red angel wings.
