Lancashire wedding venues, photographers, DJs, makeup artists, wedding car hires were all praised in the awards, which recognises excellence offered by wedding businesses in the UK, and signify a trusted seal of approval for couples planning their weddings.

Three East Lancashire wedding venues were included on the list and revealed among the best place in the county to celebrate the big day.

These included Sparth House in Clayton-le-Moors, Crow Wood Hotel in Burnley, and Stanley House Hotel and Spa in Mellor.

A Ribble Valley-based marquee and tipi hire, Ribble Valley Canvas Marquees, also made the list.

Paul Swift Photography, a Blackburn photographer, also scooped an award.

A spokesperson for Sparth House said: “We were very thankful to win the award for the second year in a row, we also won the Bridebook Platinum Award the day before so it’s been a very exciting few days for us.

“Unlike other awards the Hitched awards are based on reviews from couples rather than a panel looking over evidence that has been sent in.

“This makes it extra special because our couples have clearly felt so strongly about their day that they have taken the time to write a review.

“As a small family run business it’s always a nice reward to win the awards but we actually enjoy reading our couples reviews more as it lets us relive their day.

"So all the thanks go to our couples and for choosing us for their special day."

A spokesperson for Stanley House Hotel and Spa said the award means a lot, especially after a difficult pandemic and cost of living crisis.

They said: “We are delighted that Stanley House Hotel and Spa have been awarded winners in the wedding venues category.

"It makes me incredibly proud of all our Stanley team and most importantly our beautiful wedding couples!

“It is so rewarding to know that our team do everything in our power to guarantee couples the perfect day. It is our absolute pleasure.”

David Krol, co-owner of Ribble Valley Canvas Marquees, said they won the same award last year and are delighted with the achievement.

He said: “We’re delighted and it’s smiles all round all day.

“As weddings are one of the most memorable days of a person’s life so it’s fantastic to know we have helped turn dreams into reality and memories.

“The award is based on the reviews left by the couples that we have been lucky enough to work with and is only given to those who have maintained a five star rating.

“What make us stand out from other companies is the level of communication the couples get with our planners in the build up to the big day.

“It’s also the quality of products we use, we only use marquees made from true canvas as this offers benefits in breathability and lighting over the PVC alternatives.

"We have also started working with Tipis and hope to be winning more awards for this next year.”
