A Blackburn charity has donated ‘baby loss packs’ for bereaved parents to Royal Blackburn hospital.
Volunteers from the Blackburn UK Trust visited the hospital this week to hand over the 'Adil Legacy Packs’ to staff.
The packs have been co-produced by the Trust and Maggies Legacy and aim to offer solace to those mothers that have either lost a new born baby through a miscarriage, stillbirth or complications with pregnancy during or just after giving birth.
Trustee and Chair of the charity Mufti Saleh stressed the importance of ‘keeping faith and patience’ and how that can help the mother and parents deal with the loss.
He said: "We need to support these mothers during the most challenging time.
"We hope this act of kindness from our donors can help the families through the grieving process.
"We are indebted to the NHS staff for providing care to those that need it the most.
"We thank the chaplaincy team for helping us provide these packs and look forward to helping ELHT and other NHS trusts in future."
For the past 19 years, through donors, volunteers, supporters and well-wishers, Blackburn UK Trust says it has offered support and engagement with those who need help in the UK or around the world.
Their mission is to aid poor people across the globe and support orphans and widows, and those who are disabled.
They also provide humanitarian relief, food, water and healthcare for those affected by wars, conflict, poverty and natural disasters.
