Burnley radio presenter, Jordan North, had to call pest control earlier this week after it appeared a rodent had moved in to his home.

Jordan, who works for BBC Radio 1, posted pictures of seemingly gnawed bread to his 751,000 Instagram followers with the caption “so this morning I went to make some toast,” followed by an emoji of a mouse.

He also posted a picture of what looked like rodent droppings and said: “Eww! Why does this s*** (literally) always happen to me?”

Jordan, who recently purchased a house near a London airport, hasn’t had the best luck recently.

Speaking on his podcast Help I Sexted My Boss, which he hosts alongside William Hanson, Jordan said he recently got locked in his spare bedroom and had to pick the lock with a coat hanger.

Jordan, 32, said he “genuinely couldn’t be happier” with the house but admits there are some “teething problems”.

He said: “One other thing they forgot to mention when I moved in is that we are right below an airport’s main flight path

“If you leave a window open at around 5am you will [hear airplanes flying by].”

He joked: “If you ever stay at my house don’t use a flight app, just speak to the pilot out the window

“I put my washing out the other day and came back with tyre marks on my face.”

A property in Nelson made headlines this week after a pest management company said rats had been living in it for nearly year.

Burnley-based pest management and prevention business, Atlas Environmental Services, attended a property in Nelson after they recieved reports of rats in the loft space.

A spokesperson for the company said there may be as many as 12 rats living in the attic and estimate that they have been there for around two years.
