Reality TV star, Kirk Norcross, has shared the last photo he took with his Blackburn-raised dad before he took his own life, aged 57.

The former The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE) posted a snap of himself with Mick Norcross, who took his own life in 2021, to his 188,000 Instagram followers.

Kirk said he would have “tried to move mountains” to help his dad, if he knew about his mental health struggle.

He said: “This is the last photograph I ever had the pleasure of taking with my father.

“If only I knew the pain that you were in, I would’ve tried to move mountains, heaven and earth, for you dad.

“Miss you so much! Hope you’re at peace now.”

Mick Norcross, who was born in a Haslingden sweet shop in 1964 and was raised until the age of four in Blackburn, was found dead at his home in Essex on in January 2021.

Mick Norcross rose to fame as the owner of the Sugar Hut nightclub from the hit ITV series, TOWIE.

He first appeared on the show in 2011 during the second series.

His mum and dad, Margaret and Bernard Norcross, both came from East Lancashire families.

Since his dad's death Kirk, who has been open about his own mental health issues, has been raising awareness about depression and suicide.

In March 2022  he was named as an ambassador for a suicide prevention charity PAPYRUS.

In an interview with PAPYRUS, Kirk said: “I’ve gone through hell. I’ve gone through suicidal thoughts, suicide ideation, seeing my father’s suicide.

“Now, I use my platform to talk about my experience and my triggers.

“When my father left us I was thinking ‘I miss this with my dad, I miss that with my dad’. Now I think of all the positive times we had together.”
