A drug-driver was caught red handed after police stopped the vehicle in Preston.
Yesterday (December 31), officers stopped what appears to be a Citroen Picasso on Garstang Road near the Broughton Interchange.
The driver carried out a drug swipe test and gave police false details but a fingerprint device revealed their identity.
In addition to being caught drug driving and obstructing police, the driver was found to have a knife, hammer, and axe in their car as well as having no insurance.
The driver was arrested.
A spokesperson for the police said: “Vehicle stopped by HO31 on Garstang Road.
“The driver provided false details but the fingerprint device revealed his true identity.
"Driver arrested for drug driving, disqualified driving, no insurance, possession of offensive weapons and obstruct Police.”
