A van driver suffered suffered serious leg and pelvic injuries following a crash in Leyland.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following the incident on Boxing Day.
The collision happened in Flensburg Way at 9.55pm and involved a black BMW X1 and a white Ford Transit.
The driver of the Transit van, a man in his 30s, suffered serious leg and pelvic injuries.
The driver of the BMW, a woman in her 40s, suffered minor injuries.
No arrests have been made as officers investigate exactly how the collision occurred.
A police spokesperson said: "We are particularly keen to hear from anybody who witnessed the collision and hasn’t yet spoken to police or, anybody with information regarding the incident.
