Police officers have told the Grinch that he cannot ruin Christmas – or else!
Officers bumped into the Grinch and his dog (we don't know if he is called Max) who were wandering around Darwen, trying to steal Christmas.
The policing team said that they stopped him in his tracks to give him some strong words of advice – do not ruin Christmas or else.
In what has become a yearly tradition, the Grinch has been wandering around Darwen with his trusty side-kick Max bringing some festive bah-humbug to the town.

The identity of the Darwen Grinch remains a mystery – however there has been a lot of speculation as to who it may be over the years, but it would appear that this person would like to bring some anonymous festive fun to the town.
He has been spotted around Darwen for the past two years, bringing a smile to many a face.
The Grinch, a fictional character created by Dr Seuss, has spent the past 53 years living in seclusion on a cliff, overlooking the town of Whoville – or has he actually been hiding out in Darwen Tower?
