A man has been arrested after a car was broken into in Blackburn.
Police were called to Dalby Crescent at 5.20am today (December 2) after a member of the public said someone was in her car.
He fled the scene but was tracked down by a police dog called Hulk, who found him in Nook Lane.
A 48-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of interfering with a vehicle motor and going equipped for theft.
A police spokesperson said: “We have arrested a 48-year-old man after a car was broken into outside a house in Blackburn.
“Officers were called to Dalby Crescent at 5.20am today by a member of the public who reported someone was in her car.
“Although the offender fled the scene, police dog Hulk tracked the area and traced him to Nook Lane where he was near to another vehicle.
“The man was arrested on suspicion of interfering with a vehicle motor and going equipped for theft. He is currently in custody.”
