Update: The incident has now cleared and all lanes have re-opened on the M65 eastbound.
Traffic is building up on the motorway following a crash on the M65 near Burnley.
Police have closed one lane on the M65 eastbound carriageway between junction 9 and junction 10 for Burnley.
The crash was first reported to police at around 6pm today (November 28). There is currently a 15 minute delay with two miles of congestion all the way up to junction 8 near Accrington.
The average speed is currently 5 mph. Normal traffic conditions are expected between 8:30pm and 8:45pm.
A spokesperson for the police confirmed this is a 'damage only collision' so luckily, no one has been injured.

An update from INRIX traffic website states: “Crash, queueing traffic, lanes closed.
“Queueing traffic and one lane closed due to crash on M65 Eastbound from J9 A679 (Hapton / Burnley West) to J10 A671 Cavalry Way (Burnley / Padiham).
"Severe delays of twelve minutes and delays easing on M65 Eastbound between J8 A56 (Accrington) and J10 A671 Cavalry Way (Burnley / Padiham). Average speed five mph."
A spokesperson for National Highways North West said: This incident has now cleared and all lanes have re-opened on the M65 eastbound in Lancashire between J9 and J10 (Burnley).
"Delays in the area have now also cleared. Thanks for your patience if you were held up this evening."
