IN many ways this is a very special photograph.

It shows Blackburn Rovers new manager Kenny Dalglish on his first day in his new job at Ewood Park in October 1991.

Dalglish had resigned as manager of Liverpool in February of that year but had been persuaded to get back into management by Blackburn Rovers owner Jack Walker. The pair had a vision for what could be achieved and brought the Premier Leage title to Ewood Park at the end of the 1994-95 season.

This photo shows the footballing legend stood outside the Blackburn end of the ground - it was before any of the stadium was redeveloped.

Look carefully and you can actually see the original tram track in the cobbles to the left of Kenny. And look at the prices - you could pay at the turnstiles in cash and get to see the match for just £5.
