Pupils at a Blackburn secondary school have planted 30 saplings on their school grounds.
Pleckgate High School's Eco Club received gift from the Woodland Trust and are looking forward to seeing them grow over the coming months.
Year 8 Ahmed Dawod said: "I enjoy the Eco Club as I like helping the environment, it is something I am interested in.
"I am looking forward to watching the trees grow although it will take some time!"
Teacher Jade Banks is in charge of the Eco Club.
She said: "We received 30 saplings of five different species which will all help the animals who visit Pleckgate in a different way. That's our biodiversity aim."
