A man has been spared jail and told to 'continue transforming his life'.
Pascoe Gilheaney, 21, appeared in Preston Crown Court on Thursday, November 17, having pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit criminal damage, possession of cannabis and threats to kill.
Sentencing him, Judge Simon Medland, said Gilheaney, of Hope Street, Haslingden, had changed his ways and he was giving him a community order to allow him to continue improving his life.
Judge Medland said: “This is an extremely unusual case.
"The standard approach would be to impose a sentence but you have done everything anyone could ask you by way of transforming your life.
“Instead of once again looking at the cell way for 23 hours a day and having two showers a week, you can come back into society and have your own front door and you will find your life is utterly transformed.
“I wish you every good fortune in the future.”
Gilheaney was handed a two year community order in which he must undertake 50 hours of unpaid work and complete 40 rehabilitation requirement days.
