- Andrew Burfield is on trial at Preston Crown Court accused of the murder of Padiham mum-of-two, Katie Kenyon.
- Katie, 33, went missing on April 22 this year.
- Her body was found in the Forest of Bowland a week later on April 29.
- Burfield, 51, of Todmorden Road, Burnley, was at first arrested and charged with her kidnap, with that charge later being changed to one of murder.
- The trial is expected to last between two and three weeks.
