Users of Virgin Media have been reporting issues with their service this morning.

Reports began to appear on Down Detector, a website for reporting outages, at around 9am this morning.

According to the site, issues are primarily being reported with landline and the internet. 

Is Virgin Media broadband down?

Virgin has said that Broadband, TV and landline services are working as usual this morning. 

A Virgin Media spokesperson said: “We’re aware of a technical issue which means we’re not able to access customer systems or activate new services right now, but new installs will still take place. Our TV, phone and broadband services are unaffected and customers wishing to manage their account should contact us later this afternoon. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and our teams are working hard to get this fixed as quickly as possible.”

Reports on Down Detector have reached nearly 1000, and some users have taken to Twitter to share their issues.

One user wrote: "Is anyone else’s virgin media internet down?"

Another said: "Virgin media is down again"
