East Lancashire Radio 1 presenter, Jordan North, has shared some throwback pictures of his time at Rock FM.

Posting to his 735,000 Instagram followers, the Burnley lad wished radio station Rock FM a happy 40th anniversary and reminisced about some of his favourite memories of working there.

Jordan said: “I loved working here, I still miss me the staff, the listeners and especially the messy Christmas parties.”

Sharing a picture of him stood next to a vehicle with his face on he said: “I don’t miss that car though."

Among the pictures include a baby-faced Jordan at Lytham Festival, on the back of a bus advertising Preston College, and a snap with his boxer shorts exposed and jeans around his knees.

Jordan joined Rock FM in 2014 where he as appointed as the drive time presenter for Lancashire.

Here he was twice nominated for radio presenter of the year at the Commercial Arqiva Radio Awards.

After taking on some freelance work for BBC Radio 5Live, he joined BBC Radio 1 in 2018.

In the same year he launched his own podcast, ‘Help I Sexted My Boss’ which was commissioned for a second series and sold out its first live show in less than 10 minutes.

Since sharing the photos some of Jordan’s long-term fans have left comments.

One person said: “I remember that car, loved listening to you on drive time.”

Another said: “I honestly miss seeing you at all their events. Still got all the photos of us and I totally remember when you got this car.

“You’re smashing it mate.”

“I miss that car,” said another. “Cheered me up every time I saw it parked out back.

“I remember my sister visiting and saying ‘what is that car?’

“ I didn't even look I just said ‘it's Jordan’.”

Clare Traynor said: “Happy days indeed Jordan. You know you secretly loved this car. Never a dull moment was there?”
