A wanted sex offender with links to Rossendale and Burnley has been arrested.

Lee Haslam, a wanted sex offender, has been arrested by police in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

Haslam, who has links to Rossendale, Burnley, and Blackburn, as well as the Yorkshire towns of Huddersfield and Scarborough, was wanted by police after he failed to attend court.

Police issued appeals earlier this week urging people not to approach the man but to contact Lancashire Police if they had any information.

Following the arrest, a Lancashire Police spokesperson said: “Earlier this week we appealed for information to find wanted man Lee Haslam.

“Today Haslam was arrested by our colleagues in Huddersfield.

“Thanks to everyone who shared our appeals to find him.”
