WARTIME came to Rossendale over the Bank Holiday as thousands of enthusiasts visited for its 10th annual 1940s weekend.
Visitors, many in period clothes, watched battle re-enactments and visited realistic re-creations of field hospitals in the holiday sunshine, as well as taking a look at authentic 1940s civilian and military vehicles.
Pubs, churches and railway stations across Rawtenstall, Ramsbottom and Irwell Vale got involved, with entertainment throughout the four-day event.
