An all new art open is coming to Blackburn at the start of October.
Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery will be hosting their first Art Open this Autumn.
In August they put out an open call to all artists, amateur and professional, to get ready to submit their work for what promises to be an exciting and diverse art show.
And now this week it has been revealed Halima Cassell, an artist and ceramic sculptor, will be on this year's judging panel, as well as Anthea Purkis, the museum's very own curator of art, and the leader of Blackburn with Darwen Council, Cllr Phil Riley, will be judging the art work.
The Art Open will then open on Saturday, October 1, with the official prize giving at 2pm.
The exhibition is on until January 7, 2023, and will be open from 12pm to 4.45pm, Wednesday to Saturday.
The Friends are supporting this event and members have also been helping with the administration of entries.
