A rider was injured and a horse had to be rescued in Clitheroe.
Fire crews attended the incident on Simonstone Road in Sabden yesterday (Sunday, September 25).
Fire engines from Burnley with specialist teams from Fleetwood and Darwen rescued the horse on Simonstone Road.
The incident involved one horse and one injured rider who was taken to hospital by North West Ambulance Service.
Crews said they used two general purpose lines, one saw and one triple extension ladder and were in attendance for approximately one hour.
