A new tapas restaurant has opened in East Lancashire and the food looks mouth-watering.
Danielle Roberts and Kellie Hughes officially opened Tapas 47 in King Street, Whalley, on Friday, September 16.
Danielle said the day was a success and they have already received advanced bookings up until Christmas.
She said: “It was really successful and busy. We have been fully booked every night, with some bookings around Christmas too, which is good.
“We decided that Whalley and the Ribble Valley need something like this as there aren’t many tapas restaurants in the area.”
Danielle left her accountancy job in order to pursue the new business venture and is using her 20 years of experience in the catering industry to bring a taste of Spain to the area.
She said: “I quit my job as a practice manager at an accountancy business to come and do this.
“I have spent many years working in hospitality and I just thought this job was more ‘for me’. I like being around people rather than just sitting in an office.
“I was a little worried to start a business with the current cost of living and energy bill crisis.
“But Whalley is quite a busy and thriving place, the shop is in a great location and hopefully it will do well.”
The menu is filled with classic tapas dishes including padron peppers, olives, garlic and paprika chicken, charcuterie boards and more.
Their saucy meatballs and chorizo dishes are among some of the most popular at the minute.
While it has been open for less than a week the restaurant is already receiving rave reviews from customers.
Catherine Heaton said: "We had a lovely time tonight!
“The atmosphere was great, so impressed with the décor. Food was delicious and service was really friendly and spot on.
“Thank you Kellie and Danielle for bringing a great restaurant to Whalley. Can't wait to come back.”
Hayley Price said: “Highly recommend, only regret is not sampling the sangria.”
Jan Taylor said: “Amazing food and atmosphere. What a gem for Whalley… a little taste of Spain.”
