RESIDENTS have vowed to continue their fight for a full-time live-in warden after they were phased out by housing bosses.
Housing provider Calico said they have no plans to re-instate the full-time live in warden in sheltered accommodation at Viking Place, Burnley.
But bosses have said they will continue to meet with residents over their concerns after the wardens were phased out last year.
The houses had their full-time warden removed in February, 2007.
After meetings with Calico, residents were given their wardens back from 9am to 1pm, but they are still unhappy and want a warden from 9am to 5pm daily.
But Pat Knight, whose mother is a resident of Viking Place, said she would keep campaigning for the re-instatement of a full-time warden, saying: "The bottom line is that they have taken the wardens away and we want them back.
"We will stand together to get back what was taken away.
A spokesperson for Calico said they were continuing to meet with the residents to address their concerns.
