A LOTTERY-funded course which aims to teach people how to cook healthy food and have a more active lifestyle is being held in Burnley.
The six-week course is part of a series called Healthy Eating, Active Lifestyle (HEAL) and it will teach people about how to cook healthy meals and about food safety and hygiene.
The course, at South West Burnley Community Enterprise Centre, is free and open to anyone living in the Rosegrove, Trinity and Coal Clough with Deerplay areas.
At the end of the course each participant will get a level one certificate in food safety. People from any level, including beginners, are invited to attend.
The course is backed by the Big Lottery Fund, which gives out millions of pounds from the National Lottery to good causes such as community groups and projects that improve health, education and the environment.
