A dispersal order put in place in Rishton nine months ago has led to a 40 per cent reduction in anti-social behaviour.
Police incidents relating to street drinking had fallen by 71 per cent; rowdy behaviour by 48 per cent and youth nuisance by 37 per cent.
The order prevents youths congregating in the streets.
Community Beat manager Johanna Bourne said: "To be completely effective the order needs the continued support of the community."
