Police are looking into the attempted theft of a stained-glass window at a disused Darwen pub.
Two men tried to remove the window of the Park Inn, on Cemetery Road, before being disturbed by police.
The offenders are believed to have forced their way into the pub at noon on Thursday, April 3.
Officers detained one of the offenders at the scene but the other escaped.
