POLICE are urging vigilance after more old stonework items were stolen in Darwen.
Last week more than £500 worth of coping stones and a stone trough were stolen from gardens.
Now police say new thefts have been reported.
The thefts last week happened in Whitehall Road and in Cyprus Street.
Eight coping stones worth several hundred pounds and more than 100 years old were taken from a garden in Whitehall Road.
And a dark stone trough over 90 years old, worth £150, and was stolen from Cyprus Street.
Police are searching for at least two people with a vehicle who may be posing as workmen and entering gardens to steal the goods.
