An honours board made in memory of a former pupil has been unveiled at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Blackburn.

James Shoesmith was found hanged at his home in Higham Road, Burnley last year, aged just 23.

He had been working as a teacher at Haslingden High School, and was head boy at QEGS from 2000 to 2001.

The school unveiled an honours board to commemorate past and present "heads of schools".

James was the only son of Neil, chief executive of Marsden Building Society and Valerie, head of music at Haslingden High School.
