A BLACKBURN teenager was named runner-up in the National Employer Service (NES) Learners First Awards.
Imran Khan, 19, was a close second in the Advanced Apprenticeship category.
Imran works as a sales consultant at Thomas Cook, where he has completed an apprenticeship.
The ceremony was held at Alton Towers, hosted by former world champion hurdler Colin Jackson.
The awards recognise achievements of those employed by firms who hold training contracts with NES.
