A MAN who argued with his partner's daughter pinned her to the ground by her arms and slapped her across the face.
Hyndburn magistrates heard that Karl Graham Leach went into the kitchen to calm himself but then ran into the living room and launched a flying kick at a £600 flat screen television.
Leach, 28, of Highfield Gardens, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to assaulting Amanda Holmes and damaging the TV belonging to her mother Donna Holmes.
He was made subject to community supervision for 18 months, with a condition he attends the domestic violence programme, and ordered to pay £100 compensation to Amanda Holmes.
The magistrates made no order for compensation after being shown a receipt for a new television.
Leach told police Amanda was not being very respectful' but he accepted he had not dealt with the situation very well.
