ONE of East Lancashire's largest employers has held the grand opening of two new landmark warehouse facilities.
Kitchen, bedroom and bathroom manufacturer JJO has spent £1.5million developing the storage unit on Railway Street, Stacksteads.
Culture Minister, Andy Burnham was the guest of honour at the opening yesterday.
JJO produces over 700 kitchens, bedrooms and now bathrooms a week and supplies them to independent high street furniture stores throughout the UK and into Europe.
The two new warehouses take JJO's combined floorspace in Rossendale to more than one million square feet. This development is the latest step in a major £7million investment programme over the last four years.
JJO Managing Director, Stephen Greenhalgh said: "We are delighted that the minister agreed to take time out of his schedule to mark the opening."
