Spooky season is fast approaching and a civic arts centre in Oswaldtwistle is excited to host a week of ghostly activities.

The Civic Arts Centre and Theatre will be kicking off Halloween week with Halloween Crafts on October 24 from 1.30pm.

They will then be hosting an exciting Civic Cinema Club showcasing Hotel Transylvania on October 25.

The Halloween film will start at 1.30pm and is priced at £5 per child including sweet popcorn and juice.

On October 26, the Civic centre will be hosting an exciting science event.

Join crazy scientists as they “create a volcanic eruption, build an Air Missile Launcher, make mini rockets and create some pretty big bangs!”

The event will be live on stage with lots more fun and fact filled experiments to see.

All tickets are priced at £12.

On October 27, there will be an afternoon of pumpkin carving from 1.30pm priced at £6 per child.

The Civic Centre will also have Halloween Cupcake Decorating on October 28 at 1.30pm.

This is suitable for all abilities and children will elarn how to decorate a set of four cupcakes and take them home with them afterwards.

This is £12 per child and is recommended for over 6's.

Also on October 28, there will be a Murder Mystery theatre show from 7.30pm with tickets priced between £12 and £13.

On Satuday October 29 there will be a Panto Zone from 2pm and a Halloween Frighful Fun Festival in Accrington Town Square from 4pm which is free.

On Halloween itself the centre will be hosting a Halloween Party from 2pm for a day of games, activities, dancing and other spooky fun.

Priced are £7.50 for children and £3 for adults.

Lastly, on November 2, there will be a showcasing of Darcula at 7.30pm.
