Long delays are expected as the M6 will be ‘closed until tomorrow’ due to repair works.
Police have closed the southbound carriages of the motorway between junction 33 and junction 32 again today (September 11).
Closures yesterday caused 'chaos', with some reporting they were stuck in traffic on the motorway for hours.
People are advised to find alternative routes if travelling in the area.
A spokesperson for the police said: “The road between Junction 33 and Junction 32 Southbound, is now closed until early tomorrow morning. this is due to planned maintenance in between the junctions.
"Please plan alternative routes when travelling during this period."
National Highways added: "If you're heading M6 today, please be aware the carriageway remains closed southbound between J33 (Hampson Green) and J32 for planned weekend works."
