In the latest round of food hygiene inspections, 85 restaurants, cafés and canteens in Blackburn with Darwen were found to have five star ratings by the Food Standards Agency, with no premises in the borough receiving a zero star rating.

Since we last gave you a round-up of the FSA's hygiene ratings in April, dozens more establishments have received the highest hygiene rating of ‘very good’

No restaurants, cafés or canteens have been rated zero - the lowest rating scored by the FSA.

In this round-up we have decided to provide you with the details of all the restaurants, cafés and canteens with five-star ratings, not just the ones inspected in the last four months.

We have not included hospitals, childcare premises, schools, retailers, or venues listed as 'other catering premises'.

Some premises may have been duplicated and might have appeared in the takeaway listings we published yesterday (August 28).
