A CONVICTED burglar who raided his own mother has been returned to prison - after being featured in the Lancashire Telegraph.
Police issued a wanted' notice for Wayne Joseph Banham, 37, from Rawtenstall, after he breached the terms of a prison licence.
He was arrested on Tuesday after an appeal in the Telegraph and returned to prison, police have confirmed.
Banham, who has a long criminal record, broke into his mother Susan Howarth's home in Rawtenstall, in April, 2006.
She reported him to police for the crime and he was arrested. But she later forgave him, after he promised to clean up his act.
Banham was initially given a suspended sentence for the burglary but this was later upgraded to a prison term after he breached the terms of his order.
