A road in Accrington remains closed today as a building which caught fire yesterday is to be demolished.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) are currently still at a derelict mill on Blackburn Road, Church, Accrington, looking for hot spots and conducting searches to make the area safe.
The roads will remain closed over the course of today as fire crews await demolition of the building.
One fire engine and an aerial ladder platform are still at the property and the roads are still shut.
In a recent update, LFRS said: "Six fire engines, an ariel ladder platform, the water bowser and air unit attended an incident on Blackburn Road Church Accrington.
"The fire involved the first floor of a derelict building that was well alight when crews arrived.
"Firefighters used one jet and four ground monitors.
"Road closures of Blackburn Road, Bridge Street and Market Street remain in place and the incident has now been reduced to two fire engines.
"Cadent Gas have now isolated the gas mains supply and the fire from the gas supply has now been extinguished.
"Firefighters are currently looking for hotspots and a multi-agency fire investigation is underway.
"Blackburn Road remains closed both ways.
"We are working closely with partner agencies to minimise disruptions to residents and businesses.
"There is no access via Bridge Street, which will remain closed awaiting demolition of the building.
"Blackburn Road is currently closed but likely to reopen in the next few hours."

Blackburn Road was closed in both directions just before 5PM yesterday evening after a building caught fire.
The roads remained closed overnight and will continue to remain closed awaiting demolition of the building.
The roads were expected to be closed for only a couple of hours last night but residents are advised to find alternative routes.
Police have been contacted for further information and we will update when the road is re-opened.
