Two Darwen sixth forms have seen "fantastic results" as they celebrate students heading off to university.
Darwen Aldridge Community Academy (DACA) and Darwen Aldridge Enterprise Studio (DAES), both operated by Aldridge Education, are elated at their successful pupils, with DAES achieving a 100 per cent pass rate in Graphics and Photography.
The sixth form also received a 100 per cent pass rate in BTEC business, BTEC children’s play learning and development and BTEC health and social care.

The class of 2022 were the first set of students sitting external exams since 2019 and the onset of Covid-19, despite the disruption caused by the pandemic and the challenges faced, students have continued to achieve well.
DACA has achieved a 100 per cent A* to A pass rate in A-Level further mathematics and Polish; 100 per cent A* to B pass rate in fine art and graphics and a 100 per cent A* to C pass rate in computer science and Spanish.

Talking about both schools, CEO at Aldridge Education Jane Fletcher said: “We are immensely proud of what our students and staff have achieved today, more so when you bear in mind that we still had staff and students isolating not only throughout the year but during the exam period with Covid."
