A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital after crashing with a car.
The ambulance service called the police at around 3.30pm on Sunday to report a crash between a motorcyclist and a car on Dunsop Road between Burholme Bridge and Whitewell, Clitheroe.
The motorcyclist suffered arm and chest injuries and the car driver suffered minor cuts.
Dunsop Road was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident.
On Sunday a spokesperson for the police said: “We currently have Dunsop Road between Burholme Bridge and Whitewell, Clitheroe, closed due to a road traffic collision.
"This is due to be closed for some time.
"We would advise finding alternative routes when travelling, we will update you once the road has been reopened.
"Thank you for your patience.”
The road was closed for approximately two hours and reopened at around 6.30pm.
