Darwen council advice sessions to be held this weekend

Residents have been invited to attend advice surgeries with their Labour and Liberal Democrat councillors.

On Saturday, Darwen East ward's Labour borough councillors Katrina Fielding and Martin McCaughran and their Darwen West ward party colleagues Cllrs Stephanie Brookfield, Brian Taylor and Dave Smith, will be holding a session in Darwen Library in Knott Street from 10.30am to 11.30am.

Town Councillor Jonathan Hamer (Darwen West ward) will also be in attendance along with representatives from the police.

Cllr Smith said: "Residents with any borough or town council related queries or questions please come along.

"All are welcome. No appointment is necessary."

Darwen Liberal Democrats will be holding an advice surgery on Saturday September 10 at Darwen Library from11am to noon.

Blackburn with Darwen Borough Councillor for Darwen East Cllr Paul Browne and the party's town councillors will be present.

Organiser and town councillor John East said: "We are here to listen and respond."
