Blackburn Rovers player Bradley Dack and his fiancée Olivia Attwood have welcomed a new addition to their family.

The couple have adopted a new dog which they have rescued from a shelter.

Rottweiler puppy, Stitch, is the couple’s second dog after they adopted Carpathian/German Shepard mix, Lola, last year.

Posting to her 1.9million followers, former Love Island star Olivia said: “The squad is growing.

“Everyone meet, Stitch.

“With special thanks to Many Tears Animal Rescue for the work you do and matching us and Lola with this cherub.”

Olivia also posted a video of herself and Brad playing with the new arrival and feeding the pooch treats.

The video has since been viewed by thousands with many commenting on the video.

Geordie Shore star, Vicky Pattison, said: “Congratulations guys! Absolutely gorgeous.”

“We got our dog from @manytearsrescue too,” said another. “Amazing rescue and so grateful for giving us our girl. Love that you have both rescued. Stitch is beautiful.”

Another said: “Welcome to the Rottweiler gang, it’s the best gang in the world.”

However, it hasn’t all been plain sailing since Stitch arrived and Olivia revealed that the dog was “really sick” after first arriving.

On her Instagram story she said: “Stitch in the house. What a week we’ve had

“Two days after she arrived she had to go to hospital as we thought she had parvovirus ( contagious virus mainly affecting dogs).

“But it wasn’t, it was a parasite she was carrying I’m guessing after the disgusting conditions she lived it after she was rescued.”

Bradley is continuing to build up his fitness after an injury put him out of action.

The last two summers for Dack have been spent recuperating from cruciate knee ligament injuries, but fitness will remain the focus for Rovers’ talisman in a bid to get in the best shape possible.

He recently played a behind-closed-doors friendly with and last week captained the Rovers team in a game which included two debutants and an average age of 21.6.
